Programme Details

This hybrid training programme consists of four live endoscopy sessions taking place from November to February, interspersed with three practical, animal-model hands-on days.

The masterclass sessions will be livestreamed for invited participants, who will also have the opportunity to attend on site in a dedicated lecture room.

The programme focuses on three key areas:

  • Assess: lesion selection and margin assessment
  • Resect/Dissect: choice of knives, traction, and procedural strategy
  • Protect: diathermy settings, clip closure, and complication management

The Director

Prof. Pradeep Bhandari is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Professor of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Portsmouth, UK. He has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications, as well as international and national guidelines and book chapters. His contributions to endoscopy have been recognised with several prestigious awards, including the Hopkins Endoscopy Prize, Barbour Freeland Award and ASGE Crystal Awards. He serves on the BSG Endoscopy Committee and UEG Research Committee, is a Specialist Advisor to NICE, and currently chairs the ESGE Research Committee.


Who is Eligible?

HCPs who:

  • Are fluent in English
  • Surgeons/gastroenterologists with colonoscopy lifetime count >500 and/or Surgeons/gastroenterologists providing regular endoscopic therapy for Barrett’s neoplasia.
  • Can provide a comprehensive CV with procedural count, including endotherapies.
  • Will provide a cover letter/personal statement expressing their interest and reasons for applying to this specific program.
  • Are able to fully commit to all the activities and expectations of the program including online and in-person meetings for the full duration of the program.
