This educational session is designed for gastroenterologists and hepatologists, advanced GI specialists, Interventional EUS specialists, and supporting healthcare providers (RNs, APRNs, PAs) to provide an in-depth overview of EUS-guided liver biopsy, covering key aspects such as patient selection, needle selection, and optimal technique. Attendees will gain practical insights through a combination of short lectures and real-world applications via live demonstrations, focusing on the intricacies of performing a liver biopsy via endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) using specialized core needles and new generation echoendoscopes, and gaining insights into tissue handling and pathology analysis.
Attendees will learn about the Sharkcore™ needle and its features as well as Fujifilm’s™ new generation echoendoscope technologies and their integration into these procedures, ensuring optimal visualization and accurate diagnostics.
By the end of the session, participants will have gained valuable knowledge and skills to confidently perform EUS-guided liver biopsies and understand the advantages over traditional percutaneous approaches.
