Program Description
The EOA Americas: Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Course is an intensive, half-day virtual medical education program designed to advance clinical knowledge in advanced endoscopy. Led by expert course directors and featuring live transmissions, this course offers a comprehensive overview of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) medicine. Participants will observe live demonstrations of cutting-edge procedures, ranging from standard diagnostic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) to complex interventional EUS and advanced endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Through real-time moderation and interactive discussion, the program bridges the gap between clinical guidelines and practical, high-level endoscopic execution.
Learning Objectives
- Evaluate the clinical indications, technical execution, and patient selection criteria for advanced diagnostic and interventional EUS procedures, including fine-needle biopsy, portal pressure gradient measurement, and transmural lumen-apposing metal stent placement.
- Optimize therapeutic strategies for complex biliary and pancreatic diseases by masterfully integrating advanced ERCP modalities, such as digital single-operator cholangioscopy and pancreatoscopy, for stone management and stricture evaluation.
- Identify and mitigate intraprocedural challenges and potential complications during hepato-pancreatico-biliary endoscopy through the adoption of expert-led best practices and standardized technical approaches.
