Dr. Jung is an attending physician in the Department of Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at Ospedale Morgagni-Pierantoni and Ospedale M. Bufalini, AUSL Romagna, Forli-Cesena, Italy, affiliated with the University of Bologna. He completed his gastroenterology residency at the University Medical Center Göttingen in Germany, as well as at Hôpital Cochin in Paris and Nouvel Hôpital Civil in Strasbourg, France. Prior to specializing in gastroenterology, he undertook surgical residency training at the University Hospital of Schleswig Holstein in Lübeck and University Hospital Regensburg in Germany.
Dr. Jung earned his German Medical Graduate Diploma in Medicine in 2011, following his studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and the University of Mainz. His clinical training also includes electives in anesthesiology at University Hospital Munich and in internal medicine specialties, including vascular medicine, pulmonary medicine, hematology/oncology, and infectious disease at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, USA.
