Angelo Caruso is a gastroenterologist with focus on interventional endoscopy. After ten years as gastroenterologist in endoscopy department at a third level medical centre in Modena, he moved to Ragusa Hospital with high specialty in ERCP, EUS and advanced endoscopy procedures.
He is actively involved in clinical research in the areas of advanced endoscopy and is author and co-author of more than 40 works published in indexed scientific journals.
He has many years of experience in the field of endoscopic therapy for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. During his career he focused activity in new techniques for the endoscopic therapy of superficial neoplastic lesions as endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), among other things.
