Endorail is an innovative on-demand accessory for standard colonoscopes, developed to provide safer, faster, and more efficient procedures for patients with difficult colonoscopies, enabling more accurate diagnosis and treatment. It utilizes a patented Magnetic Balloon Technology that leverages the properties of ferromagnetic fluids and magnetic fields. Endorail consists of two devices: the reusable magnetic handle called Endorail System, along with its case called Endorail Cart, and the disposable kit called Endorail Set, which includes a balloon catheter, a syringe prefilled with saline solution and an iron powder vial. The saline solution and the iron powder are mixed to generate the ferromagnetic fluid. During a difficult colonoscopy, the catheter can be inserted into the instrument channel of the endoscope, filled with the ferromagnetic fluid and magnetically anchored with a magnet placed on the patient’s abdomen. The physician can then straighten the colonoscope by pulling it, regaining the pushing capability to facilitate its progression in the colon and complete the exploration by using the standard technique.
