Prof. Yutaka Saito currently holds the position of Director within the Endoscopy Division at the National Cancer Center Hospital located in Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, since April 2017, he has served as a Professor of Gastroenterology at Tokyo Medical University.
He has received invitations to serve as a faculty member and live demonstrator in multiple countries. In 2013, Prof. Saito was honored with the Basil Hirschowitz Master Endoscopist Award for his contributions to advancing the field of endoscopy globally.
Prof. Saito’s research interests encompass a broad range of areas, including chromo-magnification colonoscopy, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection for early gastrointestinal cancer, and colon capsule endoscopy and the application of artificial intelligence for the diagnosis of colorectal neoplasia.
