Prof. Yano graduated from Jichi Medical University in 1996 and has worked with Prof. Hironori Yamamoto since 2001. He created the famous DBE animation and proposed the endoscopic classification of small intestinal vascular lesions in 2008. He invented the gel immersion method, and developed a dedicated gel with Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, launched in Japan in October 2020.
