Ronan Coffey is leading Boston Scientific’s GEMS (Global Energy Management System), working towards decarbonisation of the energy streams in its operations through the goal of Carbon Neutrality by 2030. With Boston Scientific for 19 years – originally in Facilities role at the company’s Galway manufacturing plant, and more recently as Energy Manager in the Global Real Estate, Facilities and EHS function.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree in Building Services and a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, and a Research Masters degree in Energy Management from National University of Ireland, Galway. He became a Certified Energy Manager in 2009. Ronan has worked for 23 years in construction management, project engineering and design, facilities engineering and energy management roles.
