Dr. Matteo Ghisa graduated in medicine from La Sapienza – University of Rome in 2015 and qualified as Gastroenterologist at University of Padua in 2020. Actually, he works at the Endoscopy Unit of the Gastroenterology Division of Padua University Hospital. Dr. Ghisa main focus is on eosinophilic esophagitis and the other eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, reflux disease and esophageal motility disorders. During the last 4 years, he has published over 50 manuscripts and several book chapters in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in
Pubmed/Medline and/or Scopus/ISI. He is involved in the European Registries on both EoE (EoE CONNECT) and Helicobacter pylori (Hp-EuReg). He serves as reviewer for different peer-reviewed journals and he is member of the editorial board of
Neurogastroenterology & motility journal.
He is member of the Steering Committee of the European Society of Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EUREOS) since 2019.
