Prof. Massimiliano Mutignani specializes in Emergency and First Aid Surgery and in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy. His main interests include the endoscopic treatment of digestive diseases, the treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases and functional gastroenteroscopy. He is expert in the placement of prostheses in the biliary tract and pancreas following benign or malignant obstructions with the CPRE procedure (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), and in the execution of esophagus-gastro-duodenoscopy (EGDS) and operative colonoscopies. He is currently Director of Digestive and Interventional Endoscopy at the Niguarda Ca ‘Granda Hospital in Milan, as well as Associate Professor of General Surgery at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome. He has been a speaker at more than 300 national and international conferences and is the author of about a hundred publications.
