Dr. Leon Moons is a gastroenterologist at the gastrointestinal and liver diseases department of UMC Utrecht. He conducts research into the removal of large polyps from the colon , and in particular into polyps containing an early form of colon cancer ; also called malignant polyps. His goal is to be able to treat more people in the future with a minimally invasive treatment via the endoscope .
