Dr. Eresmia Vlachou is a board-certified Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in Athens, Greece. After completing specialty training in 2014, she received subspecialty training in neuroendocrine tumors at the Royal Free Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit, a European (ENETS) Centre of Excellence. Dr. Vlachou also pursued advanced endoscopy training in Double-Balloon Enteroscopy (DBE) at the Royal Free Unit for Endoscopy, Royal Free London NHS FT, and UCL Institute for Liver & Digestive Health in London, with additional advanced training at Jichi Medical University in Japan.
Dr. Vlachou’s professional experience includes serving as a Locum Consultant Gastroenterologist and GI Endoscopist at the Royal Free NHS FT and as a Consultant at the Gastroenterology Department of the Army Share Fund Hospital (NIMTS) in Athens, where she established and managed the first and only small bowel endoscopy service in Greece.
Since November 2021, she has been running a private practice in Athens and working as an affiliate physician at Evgenidion Hospital.
