Elisa Stasi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Digestive Endoscopist.
She completed her medical education in Rome, graduating in 2008 at Campus Biomedico University and obtaining specialty training in 2014 at University of Rome Tor Vergata.
She worked as a consultant gastroenterologist for the NHS in the United Kingdom. Since 2016 she has been working for the Italian public healthcare system. In 2019 she obtained a Master’s Degree in Biliopancreatic Endoscopy at Humanitas Research Hospital in Milan.
Her clinical activity covers digestive endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and general gastroenterology. She is a skilled upper and lower GI endoscopist.
She performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) with a special interest in biliopancreatic EUS. She is part of the Pancreas Unit of the ASL Lecce and of the local GI Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Unit for the management of cancer patients and complex benign cases. She collaborates with other MDT such as the Lung MDT performing EUS of the mediastinum and other anatomical areas.
She is involved in research activities in the field of IBD and digestive endoscopy.
