Dr. Teshima is a therapeutic endoscopist at Vancouver General Hospital. He began his career at the University of Alberta in 2010 and then worked at St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto from 2015 to 2025 where he was co-director of the Advanced Endoscopy Fellowship program and of the annual ‘Toronto Live’ endoscopy conference.
His clinical interests focus on ESD, EMR and RFA for Barrett’s esophagus and early esophageal cancer, resection of early gastric cancer and large colorectal polyps, POEM procedures for achalasia, gastroparesis and Zenker’s diverticulum, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic EUS.
