Dr Antonio Facciorusso graduated at the Università San Raffaele in Milan in 2009 and completed his residency program in Gastroenterology at the University of Bari in 2015. He spent part of this program at the National Cancer Institute (Instituto Nazionale Tumori) in Milan. He got the PhD degree in Regenerative and Experimental Medicine at the University of Foggia in 2019. From 2017 to 2020 dr Facciorusso was staff physician in the Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Unit of Policlinico Riuniti in Foggia. From 2020 dr Facciorusso has been assistant professor in Gastroenterology at the University of Foggia.  His research activity is focused mainly on interventional and diagnostic endoscopy and on hepato-oncology. He is author of more than 300 scientific articles in international journals and he is referee and Editorial Board member in several journals in the field. From 2018 to 2023 he was awarded as top clinical reviewer for the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Moreover, he is author of two books edited by Springer. He is currently member of the Guidelines Committee of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) and member of the Italian Association for the Study of Pancreas (AISP) and of the Italian Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy (SIGE). He was member of the faculty in several national and international conferences.
