Dr. Schlachterman is the Director of Third Space Endoscopy, Therapeutic Endoscopist and Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He completed an intern for Surgery and Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital (MCP/Drexel). He trained in gastroenterology for both General and Advanced fellowships at the University of Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Schlachterman furthered his advanced training in Third Space Endoscopy at the University of Colorado, POEM fellowship as well as training at the National Cancer Center in Tokyo, Japan focusing on Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection. He is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Schlachterman is a specialist in the Philadelphia region with TOP DOC recognition for therapeutic gastroenterology with a focus on pancreatic biliary disease and organ sparing Third Space Endoscopy procedures. Dr. Schlachterman’s mission of providing patients’ from the Philadelphia region with safe, minimally invasive, cutting edge gastroenterologic procedures is his driving force. He is a family man, father of two teens and active in many sports in order to keep up with his teenagers.
