Mauro Manno

Mauro Manno, MD, is a clinical gastroenterologist with special interest in therapeutic endoscopy (bilio-pancreatic procedures, advanced endoscopic resection as ESD and EFTR, treatment of Zenker oesophagus, multimodality treatment of perforation, fistulas and anastomotic dehiscence). He has participated in several trials on these fields as Principal Investigator or co-investigator. He is member of the Lower GI group of the Quality Improvement Commission of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), and, most recently, of the Guideline Committee of ESGE for sedation. He has published several articles in international journals, ranging in all the main endoscopic field. He is an expert in non-anesthesiologist deep sedation during endoscopic procedures, and, in this field, he promotes the development of new organizational models.
