Ulrike Beilenhoff is a nurse with specialized education in endoscopy nursing, with over 30 years of experience in endoscopy procedures, including 16 years as the head nurse. Currently, she is working as a nurse teacher, focusing on specialist education courses in Germany, with a specific emphasis on hygiene and infection control.
Founding member and former board member of ESGENA (European Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nurses and Associates), and she currently serves as the ESGENA Scientific Secretary. Additionally, she holds the position of President of the German Society of Endoscopy Nurses (DEGEA). Furthermore, Ulrike Beilenhoff is the Editor of the German journal for endoscopy nurses, known as ENDO-PRAXIS. In these roles, she is actively involved in advancing endoscopy nursing and promoting research, education, and best practices within the field.
