Senior consultant and specialist in General and GI Surgery at the Endoscopy Unit, Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, at Herlev Hospital, Copenhagen. Since her specialization in Surgical Gastroenterology, she developed in performing procedures including ERCP, EMR, Double Balloon Enteroscopy as well as difficult colonoscopies. Lene started with Endoscopic Ultrasound in 2014 in both diagnostic and therapeutic. She is mostly concentrated on advanced endoscopic procedures such as EUS guided stenting, EUS guided neurolysis and EUS guided RFA ablation, among others. Furthermore, she acts as supervisor and mentor for younger colleagues in ERCP and EUS in her department and is also instructor of colonoscopy simulation at the CAMES (Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation).
