Supporting the Inspect, Resect, Protect Workflow
Olympus is proud to partner with Endoscopy on Air for the “Inspect, Resect, Protect” course, bringing together leading faculty to share live cases focused on lesion assessment, advanced resection techniques, and defect management. Olympus is committed to advancing therapeutic endoscopy through innovative imaging technologies, therapeutic devices, and educational programs designed to support clinical excellence.
Inspect
Successful resection begins with accurate lesion assessment. The EVIS X1™ Endoscopy System includes imaging modalities such as Texture and Color Enhancement (TXI™) and Narrow Band Imaging (NBI™) technologies designed to support lesion detection, characterization, margin assessment, and visualization throughout the endoscopic journey.1
Resect
Advanced resection requires precision, control, and effective management of intraprocedural challenges. During EMR and ESD procedures, technologies such as Coagrasper™ Hemostatic Forceps and Red Dichromatic Imaging (RDI™) technology support the identification and management of bleeding points encountered during resection.2,1
Protect
Managing resection sites and bleeding events is a critical component of therapeutic endoscopy technologies including Retentia™ HemoClips and EndoClot® PHS provide physicians with options for hemostatic management throughout therapeutic procedures.3,4 From clip-based tissue approximation to hemostatic powder application, these technologies help address challenges encountered following advanced resection procedures.
Beyond the Procedure Room
Olympus is committed to supporting physicians beyond the procedure room through Professional Education programs, clinical resources, expert field support, and collaborations with organizations such as Endoscopy on Air. Together, these efforts help advance education, encourage the exchange of best practices, and support continued innovation in therapeutic endoscopy.
RDI, TXI, and NBI technologies are not intended to replace histopathological sampling as a means of diagnosis.
The EVIS X1 endoscopy system is not designed for cardiac applications. Other combinations of equipment may cause ventricular fibrillation or seriously affect the cardiac function of the patient. Improper use of endoscopes may result in patient injury, infection, bleeding, and/or perforation. Complete indications, contraindications, warnings, and cautions are available in the Instructions for Use (IFU).
Performing hemostasis within the GI tract is a technically demanding procedure and use of EndoClot PHS and associated devices may result in patient injury including but not limited to inflammatory reaction, bowel rupture and air embolism.
